To all friends and colleagues of Ancestor Network and Flyleaf Press, we wish you and your loved ones good health from Ireland. This lock-down  is a great time to explore your Irish family history.  Although  libraries,  archives and repositories are closed,  we can still help you with your research by conducting an on-line session to advise on future research strategies or new sources.   We can also provide coaching sessions on Irish sources to get you started;  or sessions on some of the more obscure and difficult to use sources.   These sessions include:

  • Accessing and understanding Catholic church records
  • Using the Irish  census returns
  • Using land records:   Griffith Valuation, Tithes, Estate papers
  • Accessing and understanding  Irish civil records  (1864 – )

This new service can help you to  break down those brick walls, without the need to travel any further than to your own computer.

Ancestor Network is Ireland’s leading genealogy company with a team of highly experienced professional genealogists.  We have extensive experience in one-to-one coaching as we have provided the genealogy experts for the National Library of Ireland’s ‘Genealogy Advisory Service‘ for the past 5 years.   In addition, we have provided the Irish genealogy experts for the Trace stand at RootsTech exhibitions for the past 3 years.

Simply connect with us here and we can set up your  session.   We offer the service via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform.   The service is available from 09:00-21:00 (Irish time)  and we will work to your schedule.    You can work out the equivalent times where you live on the WorldTimeServer site.

Our fee for this service is €85 (approximately US$100 or £74)  for each forty-five minute  session,  and you can access the service  here.

We  wish you and your loved ones good health in these strange times.

Dia dhaoibh go léir. God be with you all.
